After a traumatizing hospital birth I’m considering a home birth if I conceive again

Has anyone else here had a home birth or going to have one?

The trauma was purely due to the way the way I was treated during my 5 day induction not because of an unforeseen event with my baby. For example, there were no postpartum rooms available because they were too busy so they left me in a hallway separated from my baby for 12 hours.

It is the only hospital in my area for my insurance (Kaiser) so I would have to give birth there again if not at a birth center or my home. I figure if I go the unmedicated route it’s no safer to be at a birth center than my own home.

Any thoughts?
