Digestive Issues

I’m 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby and have had some painful digestive issues. I’ll be calling my doctor in the morning but wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues. I keep getting these sharp pains in my lower stomach despite having multiple bowel movements 1-2 times a day. The pain goes away after I use the bathroom and it’s similar to constipation pain I’ve had in the past so I’m certain it’s a digestive issue. The pain is on and off and has lasted over a week. Is this a common symptom at this point in pregnancy?
