Have you started potty training?

If yes, when did you start? I think my son is close to being ready, he's shown a few signs; telling me before or after he has pooped or peed, hiding to poop, attempting to pull his pants up(but not down), and saying "poop" everytime I'm on the toilet 😂😂😂. But he doesn't sit on his potty long for me, but he does for my husband. Only thing is, I'm the one who needs to do most of the training 😂 I don't want to be too stern, I'm worried about making it a negative experience. He just finds it more fun to please dad. 🙄 Should I start having regular times throughout the day of sitting on his potty? Any suggestions/recommendations?

Btw, I just put gender on there out of curiosity. I always hear girls potty train sooner.
