Stretched septum..anyone else?

So im looking to talk to someone who personally has -stretched- their septum not just has it pierced.

I stretched mine almost 5-6 months ago and its still tender. I know stretching your septum can take a long time to heal. I have a friend who's done it and says its normal.

Im kinda wondering if it's interfering with the cartilage in my nose though, and thats why its still tender. A lot of the irritation has went down with in the first 3 months but now if i bump it a certain way its still tender.
