Mid cycle spotting

Does anyone else get mid cycle spotting (sometimes after ovulation to start of period) and had a successful pregnancy? I have it some months and some months I don’t. I’ve been able to get pregnant one time but it ended in early miscarriage. I’m just wondering if the spotting indicates it’s a problem with hormones. My gynecologist retired recently and I had to see a new one and that doctor acted as if it’s normal to bleed mid cycle without doing any bloodwork. Plan to find a new doctor soon but was just wondering if anyone else goes through this and what was told to you. Thanks!
