Missed miscarriage

Had a scan yesterday when I should have been nearly 9 weeks and was told baby had no heartbeat and only measured around 6 weeks. I have to wait a week to see if I miscarry naturally and if not get another scan to check if there is growth. If there is no growth then I will have to get medical miscarriage. I know the likely outcome but just wondered if anyone has ever had a miracle and when they went for their second scan the baby had grown and there’s a heartbeat ? Don’t know how to handle this over Christmas. Can’t stop crying. Absolutely devastated
