Best thermometer for babies?

Deciding on what kind of thermometer to get for when my little one arrives. Are rectal thermometers the best ones to get?

I use a digital one that can be used Oral, axillary, or rectal. I always do axillary and add a degree. My pediatrician advised to only do rectal is absolutely necessary.
