Is this normal?
I drive a 4 runner that’s on a 3 inch lift and has 33 size tires on it. Within the last 3 months alone, I’ve spent $80 and $160 balancing the tires on it. When I take it to Toyota to get the oil change service they usually rotate my tires but they never balance them. Which leads to wobbling with the car and steering wheel when going certain speeds. This typically doesn’t bother me but now that my husband sold his car and is using mine daily, he’s consumed with it and getting it fixed so both times he took it to tire shop and now Toyota and their charges were $80 at a tire shop and $160 at Toyota. My oil will need to be changed in about 2 months so that will lead to another charge. Do people normally deal with with all the time or is it a waste to keep balancing the tires? My husband and I are legit having an argument about it. But I’m sick of paying money for it if it’s just gonna get messed up again and again. I don’t see the point unless I’m missing something.
