Sorry for the long post..

I found out last month that I was pregnant.

It was after coming off the contraceptive pill after 8 years and I had 2 periods before I fell pregnant.

When I found out the doctor assumed I was around 4/5 weeks.

I had to have my first dating scan on the 17th which according to the doctor I was going to be 7 weeks.

I did the scan and the lady told me I was earlier than expected only dating 5wks 4days.. it was too small to see anything apart from the sac itself which I was understanding about.

So I had a check up appt today with my doctor following the scan last week.

The report never mentioned how far she thought I was.. only that they saw the sac and recommended another scan in 10-14 days to see if there is any development.

My doctor asked if I had any bleeding etc which I haven't and I still have pregnancy symptoms.. but I'm worried now even though she said that the date she had may infact be wrong as I could have ovulated later then originally thought.

So now I'm booked for the 30th to have another scan..

Has anyone else had this happen and everything turned out okay??

If the pregnancy hasn't progressed would I know or know soon?

I'm just freaking out now..
