How early could I make buckeyes?

I am going to make buckeyes for Christmas and I'm wondering how far in advance I can make them? I have a couple other things I will be making tomorrow, so I wanted to see if I could make the buckeyes tonight.

Would they still be good in 2 days? I would have to keep them in the fridge, right? Would they dry out or anything?

I've never made these before, never even had them (peanut allergy), but my husband wants me to make them.

***just wanted to add, I'm fine handling peanuts/ peanut products, I just can't eat them.
