I feel like I ruined Xmas

I live in Alberta where any gathering of any sort is not allowed right now, we are under a lock down and there is a hefty fine for gathering with friends or family. My husbands mom invited us and the rest of his siblings over for dinner tonight, I told them no because of the restrictions but now o have his siblings messaging me non stop begging me to change my mind. I feel bad as my kids wil miss out on seeing them this year. But I also need to keep my kids and his family safe and by doing so we will abide by the rules. I have a feeling they are all going to hate me after today and I can’t stop thinking about how I may have ruined Christmas this year 😔
