I'm 21 and my boyfriend is 23. We just got our first apartment together and want to make it feel less empty, but how does one do that? We need a theme of some sort I guess and then put stuff up and make it look not terrible? How though? I am so confused, I've never thought about this sort of thing.

Our walls are a light cream color and we have paper blinds. Other than that all we have up is LED strips, a picture of me and my best friend on a shelf, and a few decorative candles. We have a 50in tv on a black entertainment center and a brown sofa/recliner. The whole living room is about 65sqft so we don't want it to look cluttered. We're not worried about decorating any other part of the house right now, just the living room
