Recurring yeast infections
Hi ladies! I have unfortunately been suffering from multiple yeast infections for the last year (I get one about every month). I have tried it all from getting off birth control, probiotics, sleeping naked, natural boric acid pills you insert to monistat. My doctor had also prescribed me diflucan (fluconazole) twice before which would work but the yeast would just come back. So finally she prescribed me 3 doses every three days and then a dose once a week for 6 months.
My question is have any of you ever been prescribed this amount of diflucan? Right now I’m hesitant to start because actually my yeast seems to be in balance (maybe by letting the infection do it’s thing without intervention on my end it finally gave a chance to the good bacteria to grow enough?). Of course I don’t want to be let down again in a month when the yeast comes back.
For my ladies who have had chronic yeast infections, what actually worked for you to stop them?
