I believe self love is identifying the things u don’t like about ur self and changing them. Insanity is going around pretending to be perfect all the time. Correct me if I’m wrong

I mean technically I had plastic surgery when I was 3 because I had a cleft lip 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think if someone wants to change something about themselves, it’s nobody else’s business

I love myself but I want to fix myself after having all my babies.... I don’t love what kids have some to my body and I am not done having kids just yet. 
I am convinced after I’m done having five kids I’ll need a small tummy tuck (now I’m on baby three and I’m fine but I know my body ((I could be wrong)) 
And my tits go MASSIVE when pregnant and then come back down to my usual double D’s but they’re not perky anymore SO THEYRE GETTING FIXED! 
I won’t be changing myself to look different I’ll be “fixing” myself to look how I did before kids....

I worked in aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery for years. Sometimes it is because people have low self esteem and are trying to fix an external issue when it is really an internal issue. The practice I worked at specifically had a therapist on staff and if the doctor felt this was the case they would refer to the therapist for a few sessions as our clinic was not about making the most money but helping people. Some doctors will cut as long at the $$$ is there. But more often than not people got plastic surgery because they loved themselves and knew themselves well enough to feel secure in what they wanted. We had a lot of people who loved themselves enough to change diet and lose weight, go to the gym and wanted to be healthier for their kids and loved ones. But after 3 years in the gym they had a small area or 2 that wasn't going away and they got surgery to help out. Or others who look in the mirror every day and don't lile something (a very large nose or their breasts or an uneven scar). If someone has disliked that specific thing for 5 years every day and a 3 hr surgery can fix it and help them be confident to me that is self love as they want themselves to be happy. There are the people who just want to have a flatter tummy or less wrinkles or bigger boobs and thats also fine. But we usually didn't see people thinking surgery would "fix the wrong" it was just something they wanted. I was lucky to be in an office where doctors wouldn't do it if they felt it was wrong or a spouse was the one pressuring them. Plastic surgery I think has a negative stigma and it is unfortunate as it helps a lot more people than assumed. The woman wanting the watermelon sized boobs, 22 in waist, and tans every day or has 35 surgeries by choice to keep the image she thinks makes her mean something isn't the norm...it is sadly the stereotype. I know this isn't written out as well as it could be (toddler hasn't been sleeping so very tired haha). But I am a huge proponent of the field when done by ethical and caring doctors. The ones who will agree to put 5 syringes of filler in the lips or put bigger implants in when the tissue can't take it are another story. But self love is to me is loving yourself enough to out yourself first sometimes and that can take many forms...and surgery can be one of them.
