Quad screen came back positive

Hi all. I’m a little stressed after receiving information from my midwife that my quad screening came back slightly higher risk instead of 1 in 270 it came back as 1 in 187. Of course I’m trying to stay calm and all that I’ve read says the screening often produces false positives. She assured me my ultrasounds looked good and to not worry. Our first pregnancy was a miscarriage most likely due to chromosome so it definitely makes me wonder if this is a chromosomal issue again. We will have an NIPT done next weekend. I have girlfriends that told me they’ve had false positives as well as others who opted out of these tests all together. Any words of encouragement, advice or personal experience welcomed.
