Gasoline exposure during pregnancy
This is my rainbow pregnancy and I’m doing everything humanly possible to take care of my baby. This includes staying at my parents house because I was under strict bed rest during the whole of my first trimester. Now, I can move around more but still have pelvic rest, not allowed to bend or lift things and etc.
It snowed where we live. My dad is older now and sometimes makes mistakes. He dropped gasoline in the garage and the whole house smelled like it. He put the snowblower on and quickly went to the bathroom. He’s older and has trouble controlling it. This was around 7:45/8 AM. I woke up at 9 and smelled gas when I left the room.
I asked my husband to check the stove. I was outside of the room for 5 minutes? And exposed the whole time. I didn’t know about what my dad was doing or what happened.
I’m just so worried now. Does exposure count from when the gas fell? Around 7:45/8 AM? The garage has a central heating system and my husband was saying maybe that’s why the whole house smelled like gas...
I have an air purifier in my room so I couldn’t smell it until I went outside (9 AM) the room and when I realized it was gasoline (9:30) my husband put the other air purifier on outside my room.
Around 10, I had him open the windows in the house?
Should I be worried?? I’m so scared??? 😭😭😭😭 I’m so scared for the baby.
Edit: I’m only 15 weeks pregnant. My OB/GYN is closed today. Will call tomorrow.
