Am i or not pregnant?

My husband and I been trying to conceived for a while now. We have our daughter, who is 5 yr old, but since then we had a hard time for me getting pregnant. My period is usually normal, comes on time and the usual, 2 -3 days of heavy bleeding then 4th and 5th just spotting. This month, i got my period, (usually breast are super sore and big) this time, not at all and less cramps. Then again my 1st day is heavy bleeding but 2nd day was light and 3rd was just spotting. Is this it?! Im afraid to take pregnancy test because I have been disappointed many times. 😭 Has anyone here ever happened to them?
