Are you planning a party this year?

With having to cancel our parties last year, is anyone planning one this year or not even going to try?

We’ll just wait until summer and even then we’ll probably limit the people.

I so want to, but with the uncertainty, I’d hate to have to cancel everything again because of lockdowns, or whatever May be coming. Right now, we have a trip to the zoo planned and aquarium.

At the least we will do close family. Grandparents and close friends. Covid in our area has restricted a lot (10 person limit) but we will do something small until the restrictions are lifted

My immediate family is huge. So we might have grandparents only over. Both sets of grandparents are in the little "bubble" we created

Yeah, that whole, “we will just have a bigger and better party next year” thing was some BS. I’m about to have a newborn, and we moved and don’t have a ton of friends or family around anyway. We will probably just have a small party with the family that is around. I’m sad for her, but luckily she is still very young.

I mean numbers are still rising. We are in lockdown till January 11th minimum. I doubt the situation will be better by then. Plus I will have a 1 month old so I don’t want anyone over !

We had his big 1year old party last year and this year we will invite our friends over for pizza and beer

We decided to have another virtual party and throw a huge 3rd birthday party (🤞🏼) It’s too risky and my husband being a healthcare worker is strict about people in our home.  I still have her cake & decorator deposits from her 1st party which was cancelled. We’ll just have the decorator do a nice backdrop for the virtual party and get the cake & cake pops for daycare so she’ll have a small party there.

It’s a wait and see at this point. Last year we did immediate family but it was still 15 total people bc of nieces and nephews. 
Maybe if the numbers stop climbing and go down, and by then flu season may go away... maybe a late March party even though he was born in the 17th. Even then it’ll prob just be immediate family. 
Some friends aren’t being cautious and some are being just as cautious as I am so they wouldn’t come I assume.
