First tattoo?

I might get a tattoo on my birthday for my 18th, but i do not drive or have state id. Would i be able to still get one? Also my guardian won't be present.

Depends on your state regulations...where I live, anyone under 18 must need an official government ID and guardian waiver signed.  By if you are going at the age of 18, then all you need is an ID that is valid.  
There are some shops that have their our regulations.  I went to one shop for my first tattoo and they had me sign a waiver.  I was in my 20s then.  Then I went to a different shop and didn’t need to any paperwork.
So I recommend that anyone getting a tattoo should think about the design they want, the style of tattoo, the artist, and finally the shop.  I made sure that my artists have valid health department certificates since I’m a germaphobe.
