Weaning toddler cold turkey

Has anyone quit breastfeeding cold turkey? My daughter will be 2 in a couple months and she doesn’t nurse too much during the day (when she asks I give it to her, I never offer). She also nurses to sleep at night and we still co-sleep so when she wakes up during the night she attaches herself for the most part. It’s just getting to the point where I no longer enjoy it and it aggravates me more than anything now. I’m going to be attending nursing school soon so I need to get this done before I start classes...not sure when exactly that is yet. Her crib is I our room and we plan on converting that to a toddler bed. My fiancé has already stated he will take over bedtime so she’s not there clawing at me lol. He’s a lot more patient than me too 😂

Any advice would help. I read it’s not the best to go cold turkey and to just take 1 or 2 feedings away at a time but she’s so inconsistent that I feel cold turkey would be the best option.
