Never trust a toddler
TMI but like the book says everyone poops.
It was at this moment I realized I fucked up. I forgot to restock the bathroom after grocery shopping. I holler for Madeleine. I ask her to go get the toilet paper in the kitchen. She comes back with only smiles. I ask again. She leaves and again returns with nothing. I say get the toilet paper on the kitchen floor. She comes back with the mail.. okay we're getting somewhere. She brought paper so at least I know she can hear me. I have hope.
I ask her again to get the toilet paper. She's gone longer this time. I hear the crinkling plastic. She brings me paper towels. We're so close.. I ask her to bring the other one. The only other package on the ground. Right next to where she just was. Make it make sense..
Finally. I hear her pick up the package. But she won't bring it down the hall. I ask her to open it and bring it to me. She does. She looks up and sees the desperation in my eyes. What does she do? She runs. As I'm sitting there.. stuck.. staring at the paper towels I contemplate messing up the plumbing, I remember I have my phone. I hear the sweet sound of little running feet coming to me as that whiny child screams "CoCoMeLon!" I am free at last.
Next time I'll just risk it and get it myself.
