For those who didn’t do epidural for a natural birth, what did you do?

Pros and cons to what you did? Epidural isn’t an option for me, and I’m wondering what else is out there and if you did something else, was it worth it?

I labored for a bit in a hot water tub but it didn’t really help. Walking the halls did, though, and after they broke my water I just rode it out on the bed 🙂

I had a small dose of fentanyl 20 minutes before I delivered. I took a small nap and woke up to push my baby out.

I had a waterbirth and the water acted as my pain relief until I was in full blown active labor. Then I used nitrous oxide until I had to push, it didn’t help with pain but forced my body to relax in between contractions. Preserved my energy so I could actually push my boy out 😂
