Should I get a tattoo? Any advice?

I'm 20, but I still live with my parents. They're both religious and they're both doctors, they are also old-school. But I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now. I want one near my collarbone. It's just something minimalistic but I'm worried that they might get mad at me once they see it

First you’re an adult and your parents don’t need to know anyway but it’s always good to talk about the issue.  They might surprise you by supporting your decision on getting your tattoo. 
My grandmother isn’t fond of tattoos but has liked mine.  I took the time to think about each design I want.  The only one she doesn’t know about is the sleeve I had done...it was done to honor my ancestors.  My sleeve took over a decade to plan out before it was done.  I did my research on it and finalized each element I wanted done.
