I'll focus on how he shows love, not obsess over what is typically viewed as "romantic". 
I've had ex's who were "romantic"  but the relationship flopped anyways.

Yes haha. My bf isn’t romantic at all. And I truly do mean at ALL. It’s just not who he is. He shows his love by keeping my car filled with gas so I never have to pump it, playing with my hair while he snuggle on the couch , cooking dinner for me even though he hates to cook, and a million other little things. If traditional “romance” is important to you maybe him not being romantic would be a dealbreaker but for me, it’s not.

It depends on your view of what romance is.  I don't like clichéd movie and TV depictions of what's considered romantic such as flower petals and candle lit dinners after a horse drawn carriage ride. 
I prefer things like finding my gas tank has been filled.  My favorite cocktail ready when I'm done working.  Making dedicated time when all electronics are off and put away.

My SO isn’t romantic but he does thoughtful things that I take as “romantic”. Nothing more romantic than a non romantic man showing you love.

i think it depends on your definition of romantic. Like yes I need romance in a relationship, but I don’t need someone whos whisking me on weekend getaways regularly or bringing me a dozen roses or expensive dinner dates or surprising me with flower petals scattered across the bedroom. But I do think it’s romantic when my partner remembers little things about me or notices habits/things I like without saying. I think it’s romantic when he goes out of his way to do something for me bc he cares, like folding a load of laundry even though he couldn’t care less if it were left in the basket l, so I won’t have to do it later, or shoveling the driveway even though I’m the only one who has to go out.
