My cousin is staying with me for a month by herself and she just started her period. She decided tampons and asked if she knew how to use and she said she had sex Ed class. So for the past day she’s mentioned how her tummy hurts or she has a headache. Girl same. So she’s been resting and taking it easy. This morning she asks if sometimes I have a hard time absorbing the tampon. I thought she meant like when you wear a regular but your flow is super so you bleed through. THEN she said no I don’t think my body is absorbing the tampon as in her body isn’t breaking down the cotton. Apparently she thought the applicator gets thrown out and the cotton stays in and out body absorbs it until it’s gone then you insert another tampon

She went to bathroom and had 5 regular tampons in her. She’s had these in her from about 5 days ago till the new one today. Since they’re all out will she be fine or should we go to emergency room
