Are you saving towards anything specific? We found out the hard way, that when going for a home loan they want proof of all your money in a bank and how it got there. We always saved cash in our safe and kept our bank account of paying bills and spending. Mortgage lender gave us a lot of shit when we tried to use the cash

Real money goes in the bank. Change goes in a growler that gets turned in for vacations and fun stuff when it’s full. It’s filling up super slow right now with nobody in our house using cash for anything :(
