Things that are may help first time moms

Dawn • Baby girl to arrive April 21

This was a list that my friends and I have made to help our other friends that are pregnant and I figured I would share it as it helped me. All of these items are items I personally love and use.

-Vibrating/bouncy chair - one of my most used items! Great when you want to shower or make breakfast!!

-So Pure Sofie teether

-Huggies clutch n’ clean wristlet (reusable for wipes, a diaper bag essential)

-Playmat/activity gym- someone bought us one, I almost returned it because it was tacky but ended up using it a lot!

-Diaper bag - it’s basically your new purse. So pick something you like and one that is functional.

(Also a smaller backpack can be useful too for smaller trips to the store ex.)

-Wubbanub pacifier

-Nipple cream!!!! - for the first few weeks if you’re breastfeeding (lanolin / earth mama)

-breast pump (electric)

-Nursing pillow - buy something that’s easy to throw in the washing machine!

-Baby carrier - we use it everyday to walk the dog! (With back support for when she gets heavier)

-breast milk storage bags

-Boon grass drying rack

-Bottle cleaning brush

-Avent 4oz bottles (x3) (

-Avent 8oz bottles (x3)

-Bebe au lait nursing cover (if you’re breastfeeding)

-Hydrasense nasal aspirator kit

-Digital thermometer (quick read is better)

-Kushies waterproof changepad (for my diaper bag)

-Skip Hop Grab & Go stroller organizer

-Kirkland brand baby wipes (from Costco)

-Graco Pack n’ Play (great for travel)

-bassinet (we used this as his bed for the first few months in our room)

-ikea high chair (you won’t need this right away, but it’s a great buy and very easy to clean!!)

-receiving/swaddle blankets

-wash clothes (a lot)

-diapers in all sizes!!!

-a couple breastfeeding shirts (for when your out and about) (thyme has really good ones will show photo is interested)

**buy as much as you can used!!! Join a moms fb group in your area, helpful for advice and buy/sell

**research your vehicle and car seat. Make sure you are getting something that will properly fit in your vehicle. DO NOT buy a car seat used. Also, keep in mind you will be needing another (stage 2) seat likely before your baby turns one.

**stock up on pads, granny panties, stool softener... these are the gross things no one will tell you to get, but trust me, you will need them for after baby is born. Plus depends for the few days after birth will save your underwear and are nice and loose.
