Your thoughts about membrane sweep at 38+4 weeks

What are your thoughts on membrane sweep !?? I’m a first time mom and I have no idea what to expect or do and I would like to know other people experiences before taking my decision. Thanks

My doctor mentioned today that If I wanted to do a membrane sweep next week, I will be 38+4 or we could wait till 39 +4 since I see her weekly not sure if should wait till 39 + 4 or do it next week that I will 38 +4 when did you do yours ?
