So apparently my boyfriend’s mom is getting married tomorrow and I’m not sure if my boyfriend knows. She just messaged me the news. She’s currently in Arizona visiting him, and won’t be back until Saturday. My boyfriend is currently underway for a month with little to no contact, and she tells me she wants to have a ceremony in March with all of his brothers here in our hometown. Issue is, my boyfriend is only back for a week at a time (working the whole week he’s back), and then going underway for a month again, and that’s the schedule until about September/October.

Right after she tells me the news, my boyfriend messages me after 4 days of radio silence; What are the odds? I’m terrified of his reaction because him nor his brothers have ever met their mom’s fiancé since he lives in Arizona, and we all live in Washington (including mom). My boyfriend is usually the brother to speak his opinion on things he doesn’t like. I’m guessing his mom is putting trust into me to keep him calm? I can definitely keep the peace if he tries to lash out, but he’s about to have a new stepdad he’s never met so I don’t blame him if he’s upset and rants to me privately 🤥
