hey girls...
this is probably a dumb post, but, my boyfriends body count is 43.. mines only 4. is it wrong for me to feel... insecure about it? because he’s definitely experienced and i’m not lol. he treats me like a queen, but i can help feeling insecure. i hate the way i look, and i know he’s been with prettier girls and it just makes me jealous of them 😩
does that make me a bad person? i don’t want to speak to anyone i know about it. i’m 19 and he’s 23

Why would you guys share that info? As long as neither of you have any STD’s, the number is just that... a number. You shouldn’t let it bother you. He’s with you and not any of those other girls. But definitely stop talking about “body count” in relationships. That’s all in the past.

If you think about it, your insecurity is stemming from how you feel about yourself, not from him or what he thinks or does. 
So I think working on better self talk, like saying things you like about you more often even just in your head, and taking note of when your boyfriend treats you well, and feeling gratitude about both should help you feel better.

This does not make you a bad person. It just makes you a person who needs to work on their self-esteem. If you thought higher of yourself, perhaps the past wouldn’t matter so much because you wouldn’t care to compare yourself others. Just be careful not to project your insecurities onto your partner because that can be very hurtful and he will begin to get tired of that. I think the best thing you can do is talk to a therapist about your self-esteem issues.￼

I understand how you feel completely. That’s a hard pill to swallow for some reason when you haven’t had experience like that. You just have to remember everyone has a past and that’s his. Don’t ask questions either regarding his sexual history anymore if you have because that’ll make it worse.

Honestly the only thing I would care about is if he’s clean and doesn’t have any sexually transmitted diseases or infections. The fact that he’s had so many women hopefully he knows what he’s doing think of it that way. Hopefully he pleased all of them and didn’t disappoint them. I can tell you right now my ex had slept with over 250 women in the five years that we were together he cheated on me the entire time and proudly told me in the end, I’m sure he got some STDs and his sucked in bed so he definitely disappointed all those women.
