Holding for naps - tips??

Question

Anyone else’s baby need to be held for naps? My baby won’t nap unless held and wakes whenever put down. He goes down fine for bedtime. 
Would love some tips on how to get through this, as I also have a toddler and it’s hard to
get anything done when I can’t put the baby down. 😩

I'm in this boat often. It's hit or miss with my son with naps. Sometimes he will go down fine in the crib and maybe I get a half hour to hour of time without him lol. Other times I have to hold him to stretch the nap or he just doesn't go to sleep at all. Following for some tips! 
I honestly HATE being the only one to put him down for naps. I would rather change 50 poop diapers a day. Following for tips lol.

SAME. he sleeps wonderful at night but wants to be held for naps. I’m no help. I just hold him. It’s frustrating but I try to remember he’s only this little once. I read that until 3-4 months that it’s a need not a want so I am fulfilling his needs by holding him. I feel bad for being annoyed when I remember he just wants me to love and snuggle him. 
Baby wearing can help free up your hands if you need to be doing something while baby wants to be close. Other than that, just going with it and trying to lay them down when you can for as long as you can.

Occasionally it helps me to put them down when they are ALMOST asleep then pat them when i finally lay them down.

My son was just like this. He literally just started letting me put him down for naps and I mean like 2 days ago. It was just something he needed to grow out of. My oldest son was the same way. Sadly, I don't have any tips. Hang in there!

Same boat. My advice, it won’t be like this for long and enjoy the cuddles. Yes, I too would love the cleaning to be done and the cooking too. But remember that you’re their safe place, they can’t tell you that so they cry. I bought a wrap off Amazon for $20 that has been a life saver. Way better and easier for carrying around baby. My lo sleeps for longer stretches and I get to do what I need to do and be able to attend to my toddler with two free hands. And sometimes if i want to put my lo down she’ll stay asleep after being “rocked” in the wrap and I’ll place her in her swing. Usually do this about 5-10 min after she’s calmed down and fallen asleep in the wrap. Once I brought the wrap and used it I didn’t feel so restrained to just being in one place. Also, something to look into, are lip ties and tongue ties. My lo had a lip tie making it difficult for her to feed and so she would just get tired while feeding and fall asleep and then wake after an hour to try to eat again because she wasn’t getting enough milk. After getting it fixed she was a completely different baby. We have Kaiser, I emailed her pediatrician asking for a referral to see a specialist (ENT) for lip/tongue tie and sent in a picture of my daughters lip and her dr did a phone appointment and made the referral, the appointment center called us the same day to schedule an appointment with the ENT and the appointment they gave us was for a Monday. I spoke to her dr on a Thursday morning. So it took in total 5 days of waiting. But that same day of the consult they fixed her lip. She was in some discomfort and gave her Motrin the first two days and then she was good to go. And now since she’s feeding better I can put her down more often since she’s not feeling so hungry. 🙌🏽

I’m holding her right now after calling her down for 20 minutes because we put her in her crib 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have no suggestions. Just struggling through the same
