Blood Test?

I'm 4w6d today and line progression is good on my strip tests. But after having a mc in November I kind of want to get a blood test to make sure things are going well (numbers doubling like they should). Should I do that or is it unnecessary? And, when should I ask my doc to order them? I don't see the RN until Feb 26th...

I had one MC and a chemical and recently got a positive test after getting my tubes cleared in December. My doctor had me go in at 4w6d for a blood test and my HCG came back at 4000 which was good but my progesterone was lower than they wanted at 14 so they have me on progesterone to supplement that, I’ll be going back Monday to make sure everything goes up then I’ll do a ultrasound. I would 100% advocate for yourself to get your blood testing now, just for your own peace of mind!

I never got my period after my first mc and immediately got preggo with my now 2 y/o. My physician had specifically requested a blood test. I think you are completely within your right to want one. I've been in your shoes and I'm so sorry you are going through that right now.

I had a MMC in June and a chemical in September so doing blood work was something my doctor wanted too. You should have them check progesterone as well. That way if it’s low they can prescribe supplements.

I had a chemical in December and they wanted me to do bloodwork this time around. They took blood Friday and I go back Monday to make sure my numbers are rising. I would ask for bloodwork to be done!

I was also a bit panicky after a MC last year so I asked for 2 HCG blood tests. I did them 48 hours apart. Numbers roughly doubling every 48 hours is a good sign. I did this in my 4th week
