I’m confused?

I’m 3-4 days late. Got a strong positive OV test and a negative PG test.. what do u think this means? Ive heard possibly preggo like happened to some and some it meant nothing just super late period.. I’m not trying but took tests to be curious cuz I’m late

It means you're not pregnant. LH tests are not to be taken for anything other than trying to detect ovulation. This causes far too many women to get confused or excited over positive LH before their periods. Use each test for its intended purpose. Take care!

You can get a positive OPK due to a spike in estrogen before your period, your test will falsely detect the estrogen as an LH surge due to the sudden change in hormones. It can’t tell the difference. Usually, if you have a “spike,” or a “peak,” in your OPK so close to your period, then it tends to mean AF is going to show. 
Your OPK can also surge at anytime during your cycle whenever your hormones shift, pregnancy or not, anything is possible. This is why some women use it as a second pregnancy detection method besides a normal pregnancy test, because it CAN detect ANY hormone surges/shifts. Those happen naturally throughout our cycle multiple times though, so you really can’t know for sure whether it’s pregnancy or not. (I know as someone who is TTC, you desire any answer besides a negative. I get it, because I used to do it) Honestly, girl, you’re better off using a normal pregnancy test. Using an OPK as pregnancy detection will, more often than not, lead to getting your hopes up for something that isn’t a reliable answer. A pregnancy test will be your safety net answer more than anything else. 
On that note though, you aren’t out until AF shows, so lots of baby dust to you, my friend! 😊
