Painful sex

Ive had pain during and after sex for a few years. I’ve been to the doctor for creams and all sorts of stuff. My last dr told me that red heads tend to be more sensitive down there. We use expensive lube and everything. Tonight we had to stop during sex because it hurt. Now I feel bad for my partner. Anyone else have painful sex sometimes? I feel so alone and just depressed.
