Can you breastfeed pregnant?

So my birth control failed me and baby number 2 is cooking 😅 wondering if it’s okay for me to still breastfeed my first baby while being pregnant? Idk why it wouldn’t be but also I’m not super educated on this stuff so i figured I’d ask. Right now we breastfeed about 50/50 with formula but I really wanted to feed up to a year or more.

Yep! Totally fine! I breastfed my 3rd baby for a few months after finding out about baby #4!

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and have a 14 month old. I breast feed about 3x a day still and my midwife says I can keep breastfeeding through my pregnancy. I will warn you my Nipples got extremely sensitive for a while and almost gave up, but we pushed through and it’s much better now. Hope that helps!

Yes it is though your milk supply may decrease because of your pregnancy. My birth control also failed me and I got pregnant while breastfeeding and by 8 weeks my supply had already dropped drastically

I breastfed until I was about to be in my 3rd trimester. Then I quit just too painful. But baby girl was 20 months old and honestly ready too

Everyone is different most women can but talk to your OBGYN. I know some women that couldn’t but that’s because they were at risk of preterm labor.
