How do you determine how far along you are with irregular periods? Need reassurance 😭

Based on my LMP, I should be 7w4d, but now that I’m thinking about it.. my cycles range anywhere from 30-42+ days. 
When I saw the doctor, originally the appointment was to discuss my irregular cycles. 
It turned out I actually got my BFP the day BEFORE I saw the dr. She began talking about the possibility of PCOS, but at that time, the conversation changed because I found out I was pregnant the day before. 
But if my cycles are this irregular, would I still base my calculations off of my LMP? Hmmm.

I believe in the beginning you would, and then they will adjust it and calculate a more accurate due date after your first ultrasound if needed ☺️

Base it off your LMP for now. When you get your ultrasound they’ll measure the baby. If that measurement says you’re behind or further along by 7days then they’ll change the due date 💗

I could’ve written this post myself. I too got my BFP the day of my gyno appt to discuss irregular/long cycles 🤣 they will go by your LMP until you have a dating scan and then your due date should be based on that ultrasound. According to lmp I should’ve been 13+ weeks, but knew I was only 8.5 (I was tracking by bbt and Opk). They used my lmp until my scan and just made a note in my chart that my due date does not align with lmp and that my dates are based on US results.

Definitely wait for ultrasound, I have irregular periods I was like 50 days late so my doctor thought I’d me 8/9 weeks but I was 3/4 weeks when I tested positive and ultrasound showed a wayyy early pregnancy
