Is this Normal?

I know the normal time to have your first ultrasound is 8weeks. 
But my Doc told me it’d be at 10 weeks and a clinic in another city. And that clinic called to set up the appointment then told me I will have to be 12-14 weeks..... my apt is on Feb 22 so I’ll be 14weeks but I’m just bummed I have to wait so long just to get to see my little one for the first time so far in :(

Depending on where you live the norm is between 8-12. I’ve seen a few women post about it being delayed to 14 weeks. I think probably due to Covid protocols. I’m sorry you have to wait so long!

That seems odd. My OB does them at 6 weeks. Most do them around 8 weeks. I've never heard of 14 weeks.

Thats very normal in a lot of places. 8-14 weeks is standard

Most doctors at my clinic normally doesn't even do one until the anatomy scan. A couple of them will do one around 11-12 week but if there is no concerns it's the anatomy scan

Your first US can be from 8-13 weeks. Mine was at around 10. I don’t know about 8 weeks being normal - just because a lot of women here have them that early, doesn’t make it normal. 10 -12 weeks is probably more normal.

This is my first pregnancy and my first appointment was at 8 weeks. Kind of ridiculous that you’ll be in your 2nd trimester before your first appointment

That sounds very odd. I’m getting my first one done at 6 weeks, but that’s because it’s taken us 2 & a half years to get pregnant I’m guessing so they want to check on our little one early. If there is another clinic that takes your insurance that can get you in sooner, I would possibly look into that.
