Which baby registry did you end up going with?

I am trying to decide! Something I am mindful of is that since we’re having baby during a pandemic, a baby shower will likely be virtual. As well, I’m not expecting a lot of people buying things off our registry for a variety of reasons(financial, limited shower, etc.).    Because of this I am wondering if target or Amazon would be good choices for the additional 15% off. Thoughts?

I used Babylist and im glad I did. It shows you different places you can get it and shows the prices at each place. I like that there’s an easy to use app as well. Also when searching for stuff to add, Babylist has its own search engine it searches through a lot of different stores.

We did Target and Amazon so people had an in store option as well. Plus Target gives discounts

I did babylist because it shows all those sites so it gave options. A lot of my family doesn't use Amazon or prefers to just buy in person and drop off at the door or has coupons to a store.or whatever. Babylist made the most sense as the item was there but didn't matter if you bought from amazon, walmart, or a small private baby store in your town.

I’m an Amazon junkie so it made sense for me to register on Amazon. Their baby registry is extremely user friendly and they have every brand. All of my friends/family are also familiar with Amazon, and returns are so easy, so it’s an ideal registry. However, you do have to make sure that whatever you add qualifies for the completion discount, which you can’t see until you actually add it to your registry. I added a Honeywell humidifier which doesn’t qualify for the discount, along with some of my pack n play sheets. Diapers and wipes also don’t qualify for the discount, but my laundry detergent (Biokleen) and dishwasher pods (Seventh generation) do qualify for the discount 🤷🏼‍♀️
For nicer bedding, curtains, etc I created a second registry at Pottery barn, which offers a 20% completion discount. Pottery barn also has baby carriers, high chairs, diaper bags, strollers, car seats, etc so it’s worth looking into.

Amazon was perfect for us. You can list items both from Amazon as well as link items from other stores. Lots of people have prime so the free shipping was great for them. We did a virtual shower, so almost everyone shipped items directly to us anyways as we weren’t opening gifts during it. I liked Amazon a lot, but here’s a pros and cons list:
Pros:
-free shipping for prime members
-huge assortment
-can link other sites, not just Amazon items
-group contribution for more expensive items (we made anything over $50 available for group giving, so people could donate however much they wanted towards an item). 
-easily filtered, shows items as purchased or still needed. 
-easy list for thank yous - after items are purchased it puts the people on a thank you list showing all the items they gifted. Once you finish the thank you, you can easily check them off. It often will provide their address too. I found this feature really helpful! 
Cons: 
-if people buy multiple gifts (so like diapers, bottles, and a diaper bin), they likely aren’t all going to be shipped together. Result=boxes overload. We had I think 81 items on our registry, and a little over half our registry was purchased, so we were pretty overwhelmed with the amount of boxes. Even though we recycled, it’s pretty wasteful.
-on the thank you list, you can’t see the note they might have sent with it. So make sure you save the notes! (For example if multiple people bought the gifts together, it will only show under the one person’s Amazon account instead of telling you what they signed their note with. With my family I mainly knew who it was from, but with my fiancé’s family where I don’t know his extended family so well, it made it a bit tougher). 
Overall it was a good experience! I haven’t used the others so I can’t compare, but we were happy with it.

I did all 3 and only out the items i wanted people to but on baby list because i put EVERYTHING on my registries just ti get the coupon. The one i like the least is amazon because their free box isnt worth paying for prime. Target is usually my favorite because you can go to the store and scan things with your phone that you see in person

Also if over $500 gets purchased off your registry you get 20% off diapers and wipes for a year. (Put your big ticket items on registry even if other people won’t buy them, that way you can buy them through Amazon to reach the $500 threshold)
