Decaf coffee safe during second trimester?

I miss having coffee soooo freaking bad. I get a decaf iced vanilla swirl with liquid sugar and literally i haven’t had it since I found out I was pregnant. I’m coming into my second trimester and I really just want a dunkin coffee but I’m scared. 😣

I've heard some not great things about the chemical process by which they remove the caffeine from some decaf coffee. I'd just drink regular.

You can have decaf and regular.  You may want/need to limit your sugar intake, and hot beverages tend to be really sneaky with how many grams of sugar they hide- you’d be shocked! 
Also, ACOG recommends you can consume up to 200mg/day of caffeine (equivalent to one 12-Oz cup of coffee) but that includes caffeine from all sources: coffee, tea, chocolate, etc. your fetus processes caffeine SIGNIFICANTLY slower than you are able to, and there are a few studies which suggest side effects such as ADD, but they haven’t been proven. 
I think a good rule is “moderation in all things.”

My doctor said decaf is fine, I have one every couple of days. There was a small study recently that linked coffee intake, decaf or not, to a slight increase in miscarriage risk, so I avoided it during my first trimester just as an added precaution, but my doctor said it wasn’t necessary.

I drank normal coffee everyday and do this pregnancy too. You can have 200mg of caffeine a day so decaf is definitely fine
