Why do I keep seeing posts about boyfriends only playing video games😟

I feel like everyday there is at least 2-3 posts stating that their boyfriends play video games and do not pay attention to anything else. Ladies can we pleaseeeeee either talk to them or throw that game system out the window. If he doesn’t want to talk then do yourself a favor and leave, trust me you’re better off. I’ve been there and done that, he was a boy! Hold yourself to a higher standard if it’s just not working with your lifestyle!

Honestly, genuine addiction to video gaming is so rare, that if people's partners are gaming as much as they claim on here, there are much deeper issues with the relationship. Video gaming isn't the problem. It's a symptom. And if you "throw that game system out the window", your partner will just find another way to avoid you and/or the issues that have driven a wedge between you both. Stop using gaming as an easy scapegoat, and confront the real problem.

I dealt with it for 6 years with my ex and it was incredibly irritating the only thing that got me through is I had a reading addiction and I'd read while he played the game still it was always super annoying when he's trying to talk to me while I read idk about anyone else but I can read and have a conversation. My fiance now though doesn't play the game unless I'm occupied with something else and when he does he knows that since I'm busy and he's just playing the game he's responsible for attending to our daughters needs. He usually only plays the game like 2-3 times a week and usually only an hour or two at a time

Its even sadder when they have kids to take care of and dont but play video games. Some mny of those stories on glow! I hope we ladies can learn from others hardships so we dont suffer ourselves!

I agree! My husband and I decided to not introduce our son to video games for this purpose because they’re so addicting
