How many outfits do you suggest buying for newborn and 0-3?

I am trying not to go too crazy buying clothes for baby girl because I don’t want to end up overbuying and then her shoot through all of them before wearing them 😅

My daughter grew out of newborn and 0-3 month by 2 months old. And she was under 7 lbs at birth. We didnt buy any clothes until she was in 12 months because family bought all the smaller clothes.

My boy and girl both wore newborn for 3 weeks.
My girl wore the exact size she was for her age.
My boy outgrew sizes so quickly and was always ahead of sizing. All of his clothes were so messed up, he was wearing a 9 month old Valentine’s Day outfit in October because that’s when it fit him lol.
I do like to spend money on 8-12 newborn outfits because they are so freaking cute! You will only have a baby that tiny for such a short time so enjoy it and buy the clothes, it’s fun!

My daughter stayed in newborn for 2 months and then in 0-3 until she was like 4 1/2 months.. she was 7lbs 13oz and healthy, she just didn’t outgrow her clothes quickly. 
My son though, he was born at 35 weeks (7lbs 14oz) and he wore preemie (he was skin and bone at birth) for 2 weeks and then newborn for like 3-4 weeks and went strait to 3 month.

Our girl was in newborn size for about a week and all she wore were footy pajamas! I’d say around 5-7 newborn size.

For us we got lucky and didnt take anyones advice about how many newborns to buy. We had to go out and but preemie clothes because she was so tiny. She fit in newborn for at least the first 7-8 weeks (after she outgrew the preemie) and was in 0-3 for easily another 6-7 weeks after that. She shot through 3-6 in a matter of 2-3 weeks though
