VBAC?

Question

I had my first OB appointment today for this pregnancy and the NP told me that I can't be induced if I want to try for a VBAC, that labor has to start naturally for me or I have to have another C-section. Has anyone had or attempted a vbac? Is it worth trying? 
My first c-section and recovery was fairly easy.

Labor and delivery nurse here- I see successful VBACs quite often! What is the reasoning for having a c section for your first baby?

Not me personally, but my mom had a VBAC with me at home with a midwife. 
Being induced makes you statistically more likely to have a c-section in general. It’s better to go into labor naturally when possible. 
Vaginal births come with a ton of benefits to both baby and mama. If a woman can safely deliver vaginally, in my personal opinion she should. 
I’m planning a home or birth center birth with my midwife. She works directly with a hospital and I’ve met their partner OB and he’s wonderful! I highly recommend midwife practices in general, even for well women’s care. The level of care you receive tends to be so much better.
