I looked online but did not find a proper guide on how to potty train. My son is my first child and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. He does have a potty and knows what is it. We would put him on it once a day after dinner and before his shower and he would sometimes pee or poop, but I'm not sure what to do to make it stick or make him use it all the time. Sometimes when I put him on he would not be interested, and just walk around and sometimes pee on the floor.

I just got him a few toddler books on potty training to hopefully make him understand the idea more. Ideally I would like to potty train him before I give birth in May, so that I could maybe cut costs on diapers 😅. Could someone please help me and take me through it step by step so I know what I'm supposed to do? Thanks!
