Gbs positive ?

So I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant and I’ve tested positive for gbs. I’m supposed to have a repeat c section on the 16th. Will this make them give me my c section a week early? Can I request it? Anyone else test positive? I’m still unsure what exactly this all means.

I’m positive as well for the third time, I have natural labour’s so I get antibiotics during labour but my last labour was too fast and I didn’t get enough. If your having a c section it doesn’t affect baby at all because the baby has to pass through the birth canal for it to be an issue.

I don’t think it will affect ur c section date. All it changes is, if vaginal delivery, u get antibiotics.

They told me if it comes out positive they just give you antibiotics during delivery. Seeing as you’re having a csection im not quite sure if they still do it that way or not, I’m sure you can call and ask your dr, unless you’ll see him again before your csection to ask in person

I’m not entirely sure because I’m not having a c section but if your water doesn’t break I don’t think they’ll do anything. I am positive but should have a natural delivery (so long as everything goes correctly!) so they’ll treat with antibiotics before I deliver.
