My 19 month old son doesn’t talk, should I be worried?

Mine was kind of, the pediatrician said at 18 month checkup a lot of kids were delayed because of covid and little interactions.
We just started sending my daughter back to daycare and she has regressed more. I think it’s because she is overwhelmed and shy. Going to get her assessed but trying not to worry since these are weird times

I would look into speech therapy. If you live in the US ask your pediatrician about an early intervention referral. My daughter wasn’t talking at 15 months and I got the referral and she was diagnosed as speech delayed so qualified for help. Speech therapy has helped her a ton. Early intervention in the US is free if your child qualifies. I don’t know about other countries, but would assume they would have similar programs.

Talk to your pediatrician. Don’t go down a google rabbit hole. Ask your doctor if you are concerned. Personally, I would be a bit concerned if that’s all my LO said at this age.
