VBAC?
Hi all,
I went to my first appointment yesterday. So just for some history, I had a previous c section with my son. Basically I was induced, I managed to dilate the whole way, but when it came time to push I wasn’t able too. I really blame it on the epidural because I could feel anything with it. Not even the “pressure” most people describe. Anyways, due to me being opened for so long I ended up with an emergency c section.
So the doctor ask me yesterday how I planned on delivering which to be honest, I was surprised at the question. So I just told him that I didn’t really know I had that option. When I had it done the hospital had told me all my deliveries after would have to be c - section. I was given no reason as to why. Anyways, He talked to me about the risk and essentially he did say that there is a chance that if I tried, I would end up with another c-section, but it’s up to me.
So my question is, how many of you have had a successful v-bac? And if you had,
what are steps that I should take to get informed?
