Progesterone suppositories vs injection?

Hello ladies I need some insight or personal experiences. I have my FET soon and was told to start my progesterone tomorrow. However I was expecting injections as that seems to be what majority take but I was prescribed the suppositories. So I am a bit worried. I want to do whatever I can for my FET to be successful. Was anyone else prescribed suppositories and had success? Or are injections better?

Every clinic is different. My first transfer I did prog suppositories for 12 weeks every day. With my next successful transfer i alternated suppositories and injections. I asked why they changed their protocol, they said that injections has a high success  rate.  I did however  have a full term healthy pregnancy with just suppositories.

My doctor has me on both for our IVf. I take  1ml of pio and two 200mg suppositories daily! Good luck! Tomorrow is our first transfer.

I’m currently 9w4d with a medicated FET using suppositories. Only a few more days then I get to stop!! Originally I was prescribed PIO but I have major needle anxiety and asked my doctor if I could do suppositories instead. She had no problem with it and said she wouldn’t let me if she thought it would make a difference. The suppositories are kind of messy and can make you spot which can be alarming, but overall it’s not too bad.

At my clinic, they use injections for medicated cycles and suppositories for natural FET cycles. I’ve been on Crinone (suppositories) since my FET on 12/22 and it was successful 😁

I was prescribed both. It’s very dependent on your clinic. The injections were started before the transfer, and the suppositories were added after. The injections stopped at ten weeks, and the suppositories at 12. If you do wind up using injections, prepare for the cost 😅

I’ve used both and currently on injections for FET on Friday. Both suck but hands down I would take the suppositories. My doc said the injections are way way way cheaper. Cost me like 90$ total for injections but suppositories would have been $30 a day for 10 weeks. Insurance didn’t cover
