FET protocol (short)?

Just curious if anyone was/is on a short protocol? I won’t be on BC or Lupron so I’m not being suppressed. I was told the other day to call on day 1 of my cycle and I’ll be scheduled for a baseline. If all goes well, I was told it’s roughly 2 weeks to transfer day. I feel silly asking, but how does that work with my natural cycle/ovulation?? Lol. 🤔 My first round was a good 6-7 weeks so this seems really fast... I’m not complaining😄

You'll probably be started on FSH such as Gonal, or FSH and LH like Menopur. After a few days they will add something to prevent premature ovulation, like cetrolix or ganirelix. You will be given a trigger shot according to your clinic's protocol, probably when the leading follicle reaches 18-20 mm, but it could differ slightly. Your egg retrieval will be 36 hours after trigger. And you know the rest. Good luck to you! 🤗

I was told mine is sorta considered a short protocol. On cycle day 3 (Wednesday) I started estrace one pill twice a day. Cycle day 8 (Monday) I’m switching to estrace two pills twice a day and Letrozole. I’ll continue letrozole and estrace until Friday (cycle day 12) depending on how my lining looks I’ll start progesterone suppositories and pio and transfer 6 days later. I’m also on other meds too but that’s my protocol. If all goes according to plan it will be a 3 week protocol with no birth control or priming. If you’re using meds like estrace (estrogen) then following your regular cycle doesn’t really matter because you won’t ovulate.

Mine is pretty short... Started Estrogen on 1/30 and transfer 2/15.  Everything is on track so fine by me!

If it’s Frozen, you’ll probably be given oestrogen for two weeks which stops you ovulating and builds lining, then have lining check mid cycle. Then you would start on progesterone and if all’s good, transfer 5 days later. 
That’s the standard one they do at my clinic anyway so it’s possible it’s different. Good luck!

I’m wondering the same, I’m gearing up for retrieval #4 and have only done fresh transfers. For the next we have decided on a frozen transfer and I was told I’d call with my cycle start and then estrace and progesterone. But I’m not exactly sure how that works, I guess you ovulate first .... 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was told I have to do a frozen transfer this time because of the IV interlipids, lovenox, anti rejection meds and prednisone, so they need an exact date of transfer?

I am also doing a natural cycle. I started my menses Jan 28 2021. I came in on Feb 3, to see where I am & did blood work. I came back on Feb 8th which was my 12th day of my cycle. Came back again Feb 10. My Doctor was tracking everything & I started my estrogen tablets & progesterone in oil that same day. Then I had my transfer today! 
With doing a natural cycle, they have to monitor you closely & usually don’t need to start medication until before transfer.

Will you be taking estrace or Delestrogen? 
If its a natural FET, you'll ovulate naturally or with ovulation induction meds with or without trigger. Transfer happens 7 days after a positive OPK or trigger. That would make it more of a 3 week protocol though, cycle duration depending. 
If youre doing Estrace supplementation that should prevent ovulation. 2 weeks of that is usually enough time to thicken the lining while preventing ovulation. However, transfer is also usually done in that third week.

This so exactly how my protocol went. I was on estrogen pills and the patch starting on CD 3 (1/2) after baseline appt. Had my lining check on 1/15 and began PIO injections. Transfer was on 1/20.
