Anyone else feel like they don't want anyone to buy them gifts for their baby shower?

So im not married almost 22 weeks and babys father and I are not on speaking terms because he is abusive and yea. But I feel and guilty when I think of having a baby shower and friends and family shower you with gifts. Like as if I don't deserve them.

EVERYONE loves buying a gift for a baby. Let them!!! If you actually don’t think you’re deserving maybe talk to a therapist. You’ll want to surround yourself with as much help as you can get right now and if love in the form of gifts is challenging for you to accept you may want to talk through it with a professional because you and your baby will be better off if you feel comfortable accepting support. I’d bet you are deserving and I’d bet you are loved.

Baby showers aren’t about what you deserve though (even though you do deserve it and more) itsabout the baby and what they deserve. Plus everyone loves buying baby stuff :)

Why don’t you deserve them? They’re really more gifts for baby. People love buying babies gifts. I had random people giving me gifts for my baby when I was pregnant. People love babies.
