I need some advice from mommas that have 2 under 2 or close to it or just an outside opinion.

My husband is in the navy and he’s going to a new ship that won’t deploy until after Dec 2022. We definitely want another baby but we’re trying to figure out the best time. My biggest thing is I don’t want him to be deployed when the baby is born or the first few months of their life because newborns are hard lol our baby is 10 months old and we were planning on waiting until the end of this year to start trying so would be born the fall/winter of 2022-2023. We originally didn’t want 2 under 2 but I’m worried since it took us almost a year to conceive the first time that we’ll end up having a baby when he’s deployed or will leave soon after. Part of me just wants to start trying now and see what happens but then what if we get pregnant on the first try,.. 2 under 2 sounds terrifying and is that fair to my first baby? Regardless he probably won’t remember being an only child. Also I work full time but luckily from home. My baby is great and plays well independently when needed but I just don’t know! I’m just nervous if it takes a long time again then we’ll be worse off than if we had 2 under 2.
